Job Title: Electrophysiology Technician Profession: Radiology / Cardiology Specialty: Electrophysiology Tech Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day 4x10-Hour Hours per Shift: 10 Experience: Minimum 2 years of EP lab experience required; looking for Cath, IR, and EP experience. License: Pending license accepted Certifications: RCVT preferred; ACLS and BLS required. RCIS also preferred. Must-Have: Candidates must be nicotine-free. Description: The Electrophysiology Technician will work within the Electrophysiology department. Candidates with minimum 2 years of EP lab experience are required. Experience in Cath lab, Interventional Radiology, and Electrophysiology is preferred. This position requires the ability to float to meet facility needs. On-call commitments are required. Candidates should be prepared for time-sensitive modules that must be completed once confirmed for the assignment. All time-off requests must be submitted upfront. This facility adheres to a strict smoke-free policy. Candidates will undergo a negative drug screen prior to the start date. Required skills include electrophysiology lab work, interpretation of dysrhythmias, cardiac ablation, and insertion/programming of AICDs and pacemakers. The Electrophysiology Technician will maintain a sterile field and follow isolation precautions as necessary. First-time travelers are accepted for this position. All certifications must be current and valid. Candidates will need to demonstrate competency in required skills during orientation. Modules are non-billable and average between 6 to 15 hours. Modules must be completed prior to starting the assignment and annually thereafter.
