Position Overview: The Associate Professor – Director, Advanced Cardiology will lead the clinical, academic, and research activities of the cardiovascular imaging program, overseeing echocardiography, cardiac CT, cardiac MRI, and nuclear cardiology. This role includes overseeing all aspects of non-invasive cardiovascular imaging services, fostering excellence in patient care, advancing research initiatives, and contributing to the education of medical students, residents, and fellows. The Director will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure the program’s growth, quality, and innovation.
Key Responsibilities:
Direct clinical operations and quality initiatives for advanced cardiac imaging.
Lead and participate in research, securing funding and publishing findings.
Develop protocols, manage budgets, and coordinate with hospital leadership.
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including cardiologists, surgeons, and nurses, to provide comprehensive patient care.
Participate in the clinical education and mentoring of medical students, residents, and fellows.
Contribute to the development and implementation of new advanced imaging programs and protocols.
Engage in clinical and translational research, including presenting findings at academic conferences and contributing to publications.
Participate in call coverage as required for inpatient and outpatient services.
Qualifications:
MD or equivalent degree with board eligibility or certification in Cardiology.
Fellowship training in Advanced Cardiovascular Imaging or equivalent experience.
Associate Professor rank or equivalent academic experience.
